An unknown once said that, “Life is not worth living until you have made a difference in a person’s life.” Sam Monroe thrives on making a long-lasting difference in the lives of youth and the community. He has this belief that when it comes to working with people you should not just know their name, you should want to build a long-lasting relationship with them.
His previous employment of 19 years was with the YMCA of Broward County as the Executive Director of the L.A. Lee YMCA Family Center, located in the downtown area of the City of Fort Lauderdale. Also served as Project Director with the Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach. During his tenure in the non-profit world, he gained the knowledge of fund-raising, board development, grant management, budgeting, and striving daily to impact the youth and families of the Broward county and West Palm Beach communities.
Currently, Mr. Monroe is the President/CEO for the Ignite Empowerment Community Center, Inc. He is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization, making sure that program services are provided to the individuals of the Broward county communities.
Being a native of Fort Lauderdale has allowed him to gain the experience to share valuable insight with his community. He and his wife, Lisa, have four children, Vanessa, Alexis, James, and Joshua, and one grandson, Khawli.

Youth Development
Educating youth in elementary and middle school how to develop and gain knowledge in: Leadership Skills, Professional Awareness, Character Development, Community Outreach, Positive Behavior (Redirecting).

Educating our high school students how to become college and career ready, while teaching them to become leaders and change agents as they are exposed to critical-thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, planning, and socializing.

SM ~ MOTIVATOR will Encourage, Empower, and Motivate your team on setting clear achievable goals and developing a recognition plan to celebrate organizational and individual accomplishments.
Guest Speaker
Through his gift, God has given him the spirit to motivate individuals to use their strengths that have been given to them. As the leader of an organization, he strives daily to Encourage, Empower, and Motivate individuals to be the best that they can. So, as a guest speaker he will use his gift to motivate individuals to be the best that they can, in spite of all what they may have gone through in life. We all can achieve and overcome the things that come our way, but in order to achieve we must believe that we can.
